Dara Ashton- My love for the Dalmatian breed began in 1995,  We went to purchase my first puppy and family pet “April” Wilddeer Musette CD.    Little did I know at the time I would have such a brilliant little puppy ( I was 14 years old at the time)   Thurley Duck of Wilddeer Dalmatian’s was her breeder in  the contract of sale it was Mandatory that you must do Obedience classes with your puppy.    I did my obedience classes then someone suggested I do a trail (On the Island we have AIOC trials for Obedience) well on our first trial she took High in Trial with 195/200 and High Jr Handler.  We continued to compete and obtained our CD in CKC Obedience.  April wasn’t a fan of the dumbbell so we never went further.

1995 We met Lorri and Rob with “Gracie”  Ch Firefighters Goodness Gracious FDCH Lorri and Rob actively did Conformation, Flyball and Agility with Gracie.     1996 Highgate Dalmatians had the first Liter and I obtained “Kendra” Highgate’s Pomp & Circumstance CD Kendra also did fantastic in obedience earning us a High in Trial and several High in Classes.

1999 I also got Lil Joey she was the Dalmatian that said not all Dals want to compete she could heel very impressively but somehow life got in the way and she became a world class snuggler

2010 The second Highgate Dalmatian Litter was Born and I got my first male Dalmatian  Can Ch Highgate’s Storm Tracker  CGN CDX Jax has also excelled at Obedience and in the show ring, with Multiple group placings, several high in classes in obedience and a High in Trial.  Can Ch Highgate’s Storm Tracker CDX was  # 1 Obedience Dalmatian in 2016  I am looking forward to completing his OTCH Obedience Trail Champion hoping to be in the Obedience ring again in September 2017.

2016 Was an exciting year I flew to England and picked up “Ayela”  Ch Perdita’s A Parlay at Highgate HTs JHDs  from Louise Clement of Kennel Perdita looking forward to having fun with Ayela in the up and coming years.    Ayela & Jax will be bred in the future upon all health clearances.
